About Us

Hilary G. Platt has been a dedicated financial professional since 1984, and is currently a registered principal with LPL Financial. Through LPL Financial, his fee based practice is process, not product oriented. He puts the interests of his clients first and is committed to designing financial strategies that are objective and independent of any particular product or source. Perpetual Wealth, Inc. uses sophisticated LPL financial planning systems to effectively coordinate and collaborate with clients, and other professionals, to help ensure a comprehensive wealth management plan. 

Hilary was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Georgetown University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and subsequently earned his Juris Doctor (JD)* from the University of Baltimore School of Law, and was admitted to the Maryland State Bar. He has earned additional professional certifications and designations including Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) from The American College.

Hilary has conducted seminars for lawyers, accountants, and stockbrokers on various financial planning issues. In August, 2014, he was asked to participate on an LPL Financial advisor panel at their annual conference discussing long-term care planning in today's world of dwindling traditional product options and increasing alternative types of products. In addition, he is a nationally published author and has been quoted as a financial professional.

Hilary holds annual client educational events where he and invited guest speakers share insight with clients on topics of current interest.

In 2014 Hilary was featured in "Ten Five Star Wealth Managers you Need to Know" as part of The Wall Street Journal's Wealth Management Journal Report. Additionally, February, 2017 marked the fifth consecutive year that he was a Five Star Wealth Manager award winner in Baltimore Magazine.**

Active in his community, Hilary has served as a board member of the Maryland Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation as well as on its Planned Giving Committee. He was previously one of a select group of advisors invited to attend the American Technion Society’s annual Planned Giving Mission in Israel. Hilary has volunteered his time as a Big Brother. He resides with his wife and daughter in Baltimore and enjoys exercising, traveling, and creating movie projects on his iMac. He has been a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation since 1980.
